Questions and answers
Is Chordelio free?
Yes. The Android and iPhone apps show a small banner on the chord screen; the web app has no ads.
How do I remove the ads?
In the settings, Remove ads is a yearly subscription through Google Play or the App Store. It removes the ads and changes nothing else. Manage or cancel it in your store's subscriptions.
Which instruments and tunings?
Guitar, ukulele (also baritone and D tuning), mandolin, mandola, Irish bouzouki (G D A E and G D A D), Greek bouzouki (C F A D), banjo (G and C tunings), cavaquinho, charango and cuatro. The instruments page has the tunings.

Write to us, the support address is on the store pages: tunings get added over time (the Greek bouzouki and the cuatro both came in 2025).

Yes: Left handed, in the settings, mirrors every diagram.
Can I hear the chords?

Can it name a chord from its notes?
Yes, the Chord Finder: select the notes on the keyboard and it lists the chords that contain them, with at most two extra notes.
Where do the positions come from?
Each tuning has shapes entered by hand; Chordelio moves the movable ones up the neck to reach every key. That is why common chords have many positions and rare ones fewer.
Does it work without a connection?
The chords are part of the Android and iPhone apps: looking them up needs no connection. The web app needs one to open.
Which devices?
Android phones and tablets, iPhone and iPad, and any recent browser on a computer.
What does Chordelio know about me?
No account is needed and your settings stay on your device. The ads come from Google AdMob, with your consent where the law asks for it. The subscription goes through your store. Details in the privacy policy.
Who makes Chordelio?
Tekartik, in France. Chordelio follows Basichords and Tekachords, its earlier chord apps.
